League Softball - Spring 2026

SPRING - YOUTH REC LEAGUE SOFTBALL REGISTRATION

Youth League Softball is open to girls from all communities including: Southeast Polk School District, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Runnells, Mitchellville, Bondurant, Des Moines, and surrounding communities.

Players born between 9/1/2010-8/31/2020 are eligible to play for the spring 2026 season.

Registration opens December 1st and will close February 20th.

Fees: Total Cost: 6U $100, 8U-14U $155.  Late Fee: $5 late fee will be applied to registrations after February 9th. No players will be added after February 20th

Volunteer Repayment: A volunteer fee is included in your registration. Members will have the opportunity to work concessions and field crew shifts to earn back the $40 volunteer fee.

Schedule: Practice begins the week of March 23. Games will be played Monday-Wednesday (total of 9 games) starting April 20 at Sam Wise Softball Complex in Altoona. The end of season tournament will be June 15-18. With the night of champions on June 18th. *Dates subject to change*

*Based on registration numbers, GAGSA may elect to combine 12U and 14U players into a 12U+ division. 14U players will be placed by the GAGSA league director ahead of the draft to promote a level playing field.

*GAGSA will not honor coach or player requests with the exception of siblings. GAGSA encourages a fun, positive environment where girls can learn about softball and expand their skills.

*Teams staff will be limited to 1-head coach, 2- assistant coaches (6U-10U), 1-assistant coach (10U-14U), and 1-team parent. Only assigned team staff will be permitted in the dugouts and on the field during practices and games. 1-head coach and 1-assistant coach will be assigned at time of the draft. Additional staff can be assigned after completion of the draft. Assistant coaches will be assigned and approved by the team head coach and league director.
